Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, met on Sunday with Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, to discuss ways to strengthen fraternal ties between Jordan and Qatar and enhance cooperation in various fields.

Safadi and Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation and enhancing coordination on regional issues in line with the directives of King Abdullah II and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Safadi expressed gratitude to Qatar for supporting over 80,000 Jordanians working and residing in the country, as well as for its economic and investment contributions to Jordan's development.
The discussions also covered the latest regional developments, particularly in Gaza, the occupied West Bank, Syria, and Lebanon, along with other matters of mutual concern.
Both ministers stressed the urgent need to maintain the ceasefire in Gaza, ensuring the full implementation of the truce agreement brokered by Qatar, Egypt, and the U.S. They also reiterated the importance of continued efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip.
Additionally, Safadi and Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that establishing an independent, sovereign Palestinian state based on the two-state solution remains the only viable path to achieving comprehensive and just peace, ensuring security for all parties.
They strongly rejected any forced displacement of the Palestinian people and underscored the need to uphold all their legitimate rights, particularly their right to freedom and an independent state on their national soil.
Safadi arrived in Doha from Munich, where he attended the Munich Security Conference and held talks with several counterparts on bilateral relations and regional issues.
