According to the report,
Sara Netanyahu told the families
that their media statements showed support for
Hamas’ leader, Yahya Sinwar.
This sparked angry reactions from the families, including some who shouted at
the Prime Minister’s wife.
The Prime Minister tried to mediate on behalf of his wife
and told the families that Israel “is considering announcing the deportation of
Sinwar from Gaza.”
This references to circulating reports that Israel may allow
Hamas leaders to freely leave Gaza in exchange for a permanent ceasefire and
releasing all remaining hostages.
