Saudi Arabia: No Normalization with Israel Without the Establishment of a Palestinian State

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has confirmed that it will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel without the establishment of a Palestinian state, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This comes after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced from Washington that normalization with the Kingdom "will happen."

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Wednesday that, "Saudi Arabia will continue its tireless efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital," adding, "The Kingdom will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel without this."
