AMMAN — On Sunday, Saudi Arabia announced the
foiling of three attempts to smuggle over 151,000
Captagon pills. The pills
were found concealed in vehicles at the Al-Haditha border crossing, which
connects the kingdom with Jordan, according to the Saudi Press Agency
"SPA."

The agency stated, "The Saudi Customs,
Zakat, and Tax Authority foiled the first attempt to smuggle (43,000)
Captagon pills, which were hidden inside the engine of a vehicle coming through the
crossing, Khaberni reported.
In the second attempt, (45,349)
Captagon pills were seized, concealed inside the air conditioning unit on the front
tire's balance arms of another vehicle. Additionally, a third attempt to
smuggle (62,790)
Captagon pills was thwarted, as they were found hidden inside
the cooling system of another vehicle."
The Saudi authority affirmed its commitment
to maintaining strict customs control on the kingdom's
imports and exports,
remaining vigilant against smuggling attempts. They continue to coordinate and
collaborate with their partners to ensure the security and protection of
society from such illicit activities.
