He condemned
Israel's violation of humanitarian and ethical standards in
Gaza, stating that tragedies could have been avoided if Israel recognized the
Palestinians' right to their state, urging the UN to investigate Israeli
massacres in Gaza.
Qatar's Emir furthermore added, "The principle of self-defense does
not justify Israel's genocidal crimes," pointing out the targeting of
Gaza's fragile infrastructure and cutting vital supplies.
Sheikh Tamim noted the success in releasing detainees and delivering aid
to Gaza. He added, "We exert our efforts in collaboration with our
partners to achieve a comprehensive
ceasefire in Gaza."
"I
trust in the ability of Gulf states to contribute to resolving regional
issues," said Sheikh Tamim.
Finally, he cautioned that the temporary truces cannot substitute a Gaza
ceasefire.
