Ashraf Al-Qudra, the spokesperson for the
ministry, informed that the ministry is making intensive efforts with the WHO
and
UNRWA for urgent interventions to ensure the re-operation of
Al-Shifa Hospital and other hospitals in northern Gaza. The three-party committee also
discussed a plan to activate and re-operate health centers to meet the needs of
the displaced in all places of displacement.
Qudra added that the hospitals were reopened
despite the great risks due to the continuous shelling of residential
neighborhoods and health institutions.
He also praised the cooperation of Rahma
Worldwide, a relief organization based in the US. They coordinated with the
Gaza Health Ministry to reach out to the international community to send
specialized medical teams and aid.
He called for effective and urgent steps to
ensure the protection of all hospitals and their teams, as well as securing
safe access routes to them, especially in northern Gaza, where 800,000 people
are in need.
