AMMAN —
Saudi Arabia's Health Minister, Fahd Abdul Rahman
Al-Jalajil, has declared the achievement of the health plans for the
1444 AH Hajj season. These plans have proven successful, with no outbreaks or threats
to public health, despite the significant increase in the number of
pilgrims returning to pre-pandemic levels.

In line with the
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques'
commitment to prioritizing human health, the healthcare system ensured
readiness by establishing over 354 healthcare facilities across all sectors,
Hala News reported.
These facilities have been equipped to provide comprehensive
services to the esteemed guests of Rahman. More than 36,000
healthcare professionals from various sectors were involved in delivering these services,
and they were supported by a dedicated team of over 7,600 volunteers.
Minister Al-Ghlaigil emphasized that over 400,000
Hajj pilgrims received high-quality healthcare services during the season. Notably,
the healthcare teams successfully performed over 50 open-heart surgeries and
conducted more than 800 cardiac catheterizations. Additionally, they administered
over 1,600 dialysis sessions to those in need.
Moreover,
virtual healthcare services were made available
through the Virtual Health Hospital, catering to the medical needs of more than
4,000 pilgrims. Furthermore, the medical staff effectively handled over 8,000
cases related to sunburn and heatstroke, ensuring prompt and efficient care.
