GAZA — On Saturday, Al-Ghad reported that Khan Yunis tent
occupants are concerned that winter will bring them more than they can endure
in the coming days, as the temperature drops and the rainfall increases.
Displaced Gazans in the south of the Strip are bracing
themselves for greater suffering at a time when they already lack basic
essentials. Displaced Gazans are living in plastic tents that do not insulate
or protect them from the cold or rain and with no bedding.
The suffering of these displaced people, particularly
children, women, and the elderly, who are hungry and afraid, is exacerbated as
they try to survive in harsh conditions amid the aggression of the Israeli
occupation, which has not spared the sector from north to south.
