The demonstration was allowed to take place after the police announced that it would be permitted.
Protests also took place in other cities in Israel, including Jerusalem, where hundreds of people demonstrated in front of the house of the Israeli President, Isaac Herzog, and Haifa, where thousands of people demonstrated.
Demonstrations against the Netanyahu government were also held in several other towns, including Ra'anana, Ramat Hasharon, Petah Tikva, Hadera, and Kfar Saba.
Some protesters also demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Netanyahu due to prosecution in corruption cases.
This demand was further strengthened by an unprecedented statement made by 18 retired Supreme Court justices and presidents who expressed their strong opposition to the government's plan to overhaul Israel's judiciary.
