Witnesses from inside the
Al-Fakhura school,
which was subjected to Israeli bombardment, spoke about the massacre. One
eyewitness stated that the bombing targeted the
displaced people who were in the school, and he pointed out that the young children were at this location
and hadn't even had their meal yet.
Another witness, who lost family members in
the bombing, cried out: "Four people from our family have disappeared,
there's nothing in this place except civilians, no resistance, and no Hamas
fighters. Why are we being bombed? In the room, there were children and women."
Regarding the nature of the injuries, he said:
"All of their bodies had their hands or heads severed... they were all
dismembered."
The spokesperson for the Gaza Ministry of Health reported to Al-Jazeera that the school bombing resulted in 12 deaths and more
than 54 wounded so far.
This horrifying targeting comes after the
Israeli occupation forces bombed the Osama bin Zaid school in the Safatawi
area, which houses dozens of displaced people in the north of the Gaza Strip,
with tank shells, leading to at least 20 deaths.
The Jabalia refugee camp has been subjected to
two Israeli massacres on Tuesday and Wednesday, resulting in the martyrdom and
injury of over 400 Palestinians.
It is worth noting that the Al-Fakhura school is the largest school in the Jabalia camp and has been targeted more than once
in recent years. In 2009, the occupation targeted it, leading to 40 deaths, and
in 2014, the occupation returned to bomb it, resulting in more than 10
deaths.
