GAZA
– According to a recent report from the United Nations Office for the
Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reveals the destruction of As-Salam
Mill in Deir Al Balah, the last operational mill in Gaza. This means locally
produced flour won't be available in the foreseeable future.

The
report indicates that Israeli forces are reportedly arresting internally
displaced persons (IDPs) using the designated "corridor," with
anecdotal reports of beatings and forced undressing. The Israeli army set up an
unstaffed checkpoint, checking IDs and conducting facial recognition scans on
displaced individuals, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.
In
Gaza, over 1.5 million people are internally displaced, with approximately
813,000 IDPs in at least 154 overcrowded UNRWA shelters. The shelters, beyond
their capacity, raise concerns about disease spread, including respiratory
illnesses and diarrhea, posing environmental and health risks.
