GAZA — According to Martin Griffiths, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, the number of casualties in Gaza is likely much higher. The figures have not been updated for five days due to the collapse of communication networks in Gaza. Currently, the only hospital admitting internal patients is Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City. Furthermore, more than 41,000 residential units have been severely damaged or destroyed, accounting for approximately 45 percent of the total homes in Gaza.اضافة اعلان

According to him displaced individuals should return to their homes in northern Gaza, and suitable housing must be provided for those displaced by war. He added “The continuation of conflict in Gaza could lead to catastrophic consequences in the region.”

He concluded by saying “We require $1.2 billion for Gaza aid; however, we have only received $132 million thus far.”
