GENEVA — In a recent report by the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, the organization reveals that the "safe corridor" announced by Israeli occupation forces in Gaza has turned out to be a perilous environment, resulting in fatalities, arrests, and the mistreatment of displaced individuals and families.اضافة اعلان

The rights group alleges that the Israeli army's assertion of providing a secure passage for the displaced is, in reality, a military strategy targeting Palestinian civilians.

Euro-Med reports that the Israeli army has been compelling residents of Gaza City and the northern areas of the Gaza Strip to relocate to the southern part of the Strip. The designated "corridor" along Salah al-Din Road, Gaza City's main thoroughfare, is open daily between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Displaced individuals who traversed the alleged corridor in the past three days provided distressing testimonies to the Euro-Med Monitor team.

Gaza City resident Iyad Zakaria recounted a seven-kilometer journey with his family, where they were compelled to raise their arms and carry white flags while walking. Zakaria described witnessing bodies in pieces, burned, scattered on the ground, and inside civilian cars hit by Israeli missiles.

Another survivor, Saada Awad, claimed that Israeli soldiers forced her family of 11 to abandon their belongings and traverse long distances amid constant shellfire. She reported witnessing a family of five being struck by an artillery shell, heightening the terror of displacement.

Euro-Med Monitor emphasized that video documentation reveals the complete destruction of the road used for displacement operations, creating an exceptionally perilous situation, particularly for vulnerable groups such as women, children, and the elderly.

An elderly man, Abu Khalil, referred to Salah al-Din Street as a "death zone" rather than a safe passage. He accused Israeli forces of shooting his 16-year-old grandson despite the presence of a white flag.

On November 10, a massacre occurred on Salah al-Din Street, described by Abu Khalil as a "death zone" where convoys of displaced individuals were targeted.

The rights group disclosed that Israel ordered over one million people, roughly half of Gaza's population, to evacuate Gaza City and the northern areas of the Strip. Euro-Med Monitor contends that this evacuation order constitutes forced displacement, a violation of international humanitarian law, and potentially a war crime.
