During his visit to the Gaza Division
headquarters, Netanyahu added, “We will uproot Hamas… and the most important
thing is that we will continue to build settlements and kibbutzim… and we will
prosper them much more than before.”
Earlier, Netanyahu responded to allegations
that
Israel and Hamas had reached an agreement on a prisoner exchange, saying,
"There is no and will be no settlement; we will continue the dispute until
victory, and we will continue to move forward."
His address took place during the Knesset's
general session to commemorate its 75th anniversary in the aftermath of the
Gaza war, which was attended by numerous Israeli lawmakers, including
opposition leader
Yair Lapid.
“We will work to enhance Israel’s status as a
watchtower for the civilized world in the Middle East. I told the world leaders
that if Israel does not win, you will be next in line. I told them that our war
is your war, and our victory is your victory,” Netanyahu added in his speech.
