On another note, Israel continues to close the Kerem Shalom crossing in southeastern Gaza for the seventh consecutive day. This closure follows the failure of the second phase of ceasefire negotiations between Hamas and Israel.

In another development, the Israeli Home Front Command reported that air raid sirens sounded in Kerem Shalom in the Gaza Envelope area early this morning, before the Israeli army clarified that it was a result of a misidentification.
