UN chief’s move shows he backs Hamas —Israel

TEL AVIV — Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen tweeted on Thursday that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres's tenure is "a danger to world peace," in response to Guterres invoking Article 99 of the UN Charter. اضافة اعلان

This rare clause allows the Secretary-General to bring matters to the Security Council's attention that may threaten international peace and security. 

Cohen claimed that Guterres's decision "constitutes support for the Hamas terrorist organization and an endorsement of the murder of the elderly, the abduction of babies, and the rape of women," as reported by the Times of Israel.
