New York - Muhannad Hadi, the UN's UN Humanitarian Coordinator for the Occupied Palestinian Territory on Gaza and West Bank, said on Friday that everyone in Gaza is vulnerable to illness and injury, and that those who have survived explosions and gunfire face the risks of malnutrition, filthy surroundings, and a lack of medical care.

After around ten months of this situation, Hadi stated in a briefing to the UN Security Council during a session called by Algeria, China, and Russia, there is still no safe environment within Gaza that would allow the provision of humanitarian supplies.
The UN representative demanded three things: a ceasefire; the right to aid Palestinians in Gaza in accordance with humanitarian standards; and the immediate and unconditional release of the "hostages."
Hadi also discussed the agony that thousands of children in Gaza had to endure, including severe burns, amputations, and profound psychological trauma.
