The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates clarified that the resolution, adopted by the Executive Board on Wednesday, calls for Israel, as the occupying power, to cease all its unilateral, illegitimate, and illegal actions aimed at altering the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem and its holy sites, considering them null and void, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

The Ministry stated that the resolution reaffirms all aspects of Jordan's position regarding the Old City of Jerusalem and its walls, including the Islamic and Christian holy places. It also reiterated the contents of previous resolutions issued by the Executive Board and the World Heritage Committee concerning Jerusalem.

It pointed out that the adoption of the resolution is the result of Jordanian diplomatic efforts in coordination with the Arab and Islamic groups within the organization.
