GAZA — The United Nations announced on Friday that its agency for the relief and employment of Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) will relocate its operational headquarters and its foreign staff to the south of the Gaza Strip. This comes after Israel issued an evacuation order that the international organization condemned and warned of its "devastating" consequences.

UNRWA posted on the platform “ that it has moved its central operations headquarters and its international staff to the south to continue its humanitarian operations and support its teams and Palestinian refugees in Gaza, Alsaa reported.
The spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, Stéphane Dujarric clarified that the organization asked Israel to "cancel" this decision because an evacuation of this magnitude is "impossible without causing devastating humanitarian consequences."
