SANA’A – On Sunday, the
Deputy Head of Houthis, Nasr al-Din Amer, stated that the US
classification of the Houthis, referring to their re-inclusion on the global
list of terrorist groups, will not deter them from supporting the Palestinian
people.

In an interview with Al-Mamlaka TV, Amer stated that the
Houthis’ position remains steadfast and will not change. The
US classification of the Houthis will not harm them, considering that they currently have no
interests in the US. According to Amer, this classification holds no security
considerations or standards; it is merely a political move to serve US
interests.
“Whoever annoys the US becomes a terrorist, and whoever
works in its favor is not considered a terrorist,” he remarked.
Amer asserted that the
Houthis cannot backtrack. He called
on the US to better consider its options and exert pressure on the Israeli
occupation to cease its aggression on Gaza; otherwise, they will continue their
course. Any solutions sought through military pressure, targeting, or terrorist
classification will not lead to resolutions.
