WASHINGTON – On Friday, the Israeli newspaper, Israel Hayom, reported that
the Biden administration is currently working on a “
major regional deal” in the
Middle East.

The deal, according to an unnamed Israeli source, “includes a ceasefire in
Gaza, normalization of relations between Israel and the Arab world, the release
of prisoners, and the establishment of a
new system in Gaza,” Al-Ghad reported.
“The Biden administration is currently working on a major regional deal that
includes several principles aimed at achieving long-term stability as part of
the
post-war reality,” the source added.
The newspaper pointed out that the deal “is part of what Foreign Minister
Anthony Blinken spoke about in [the
World Economic Forum (WEF) in] Davos this
week when he said that Israel needs to make tough decisions.”
The newspaper noted that the deal “is still in its early stages, and it is
not clear how much has been formulated or whether it will lead to the end of
the war or the direction of a political process.”
Talks of this deal come after the
US called on Israel to reduce its attack
on Gaza, saying that the establishment of a Palestinian state must be
established after the war, which Netanyahu has openly rejected, calling for
full Israeli control of the sector.
