This estimate is higher than unofficial
estimates by the Bank of Israel and the Ministry of Finance, which estimated
the impact to be a loss of 2-3% of the GDP, according to Al Mamlaka.
The direct cost of Israel's
war on Gaza,
including ammunition and mobilizing reserve soldiers, will be approximately 25
billion shekels (6.17 billion dollars), which is double the cost of the Second
Lebanon War.
Compensating all affected individuals and
companies could reach 17 billion shekels (4.2 billion dollars), in addition to
the loss of tax revenue due to a decrease in the GDP by 31 billion shekels (7.6
billion dollars).
