The expert, strategic and economic analyst engineer Mohannad Abbas Haddadin, said that a sudden phone call took place yesterday between the United States Secretary of Defense, Austin, and the Russian Defense Minister, Belousov, to discuss preventing security threats and reducing the risk of possible escalation. The Kremlin came out with a statement that the deployment of long-range missiles in Germany that threatens the Russian depth is an escalation of a new Cold War, and the Russian ambassador to the United States also stated that NATO is preparing for war, as well as Zakharova’s statement that NATO is changing the security structure in Europe, in addition to the Russian Foreign Ministry’s statement that NATO is trying to create new points of conflict through the Armenian portal.
All of these events are happening in light of a change in European policies as a result of the parliamentary elections and the United States anticipating the next presidency elections, prompted the sudden call between US Secretary of Defense and the Russian counterpart to try to calm things down and come together to find commonalities between Russia and NATO to calm things down, and awaiting what the new presidents of the United States and countries of NATO will decide upon assuming the new presidencies very soon.
