"Coordinated sabotage" causes disruptions to French rail lines ahead of Paris Olympics

The company had declared on Thursday night that it had been the target of a "huge, widespread attack aimed at paralyzing its high-speed train network hours before the start of the Olympic Games in Paris," and France 24 reported the source stating that the sabotage acts were "clearly coordinated."

"We will have to cancel a large number of routes, but we will be able to divert some trains to the traditional line," the company said in a statement, adding that "this situation may continue throughout the weekend at the very least."
