AMMAN — The Amman Stock Exchange has issued statistics
indicating that the value of shares bought by non-Jordanian investors amounted
to JD7.6 million, making up 6 percent of the total trading of July 2021, while
shares sold by non-Jordanian investors reached JD10.2 million during the same
period.

Therefore, the net value of non-Jordanian investment in the
ASE hit JD2.6 million in July this year, according to Al-Ghad news.
According to ASE’s website, the amount shares bought by non-Jordanian investors since the beginning of 2021
until the end of July reached around JD172.5 million, constituting 13.4 percent
of the total trading volume
The shares sold by non-Jordanian investors amounted to
JD194.8 million during the same period.
However, the total value of shares bought by Arab investors
in July 2021 reached JD7.1 million, making up 93.0 percent of the total value
of non-Jordanian investors, while the total value of shares bought by non-Arab
investors constitute JD500,000, constituting 7 percent of shares bought by
non-Jordanians.
The total value of
shares sold by Arab investors reached
JD6.5 million, making up 63.4 percent of the shares sold by non-Jordanians, while
shares sold by non-Arab investors reached JD3.7 million, making up 36.6 percent
of shares sold by non-Jordanian investors.
Therefore, the net value of Arab investors hit JD600,000,
while the net value of non-Arab investors hit JD3.2 million in in July, 2021.
Non-Jordanian investment in companies registered at the ASE
made up around 48.8 percent of July 2021’s total market value.
