The event marked the announcement of the winners for the 4th edition of the award, a program of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, executed in cooperation with the Crown Prince Foundation. Dr. Tamam Manko, the Executive Director of the Crown Prince Foundation, was also present.

The aim of the award in its fourth edition is to encourage creativity and innovation among university and community college students, both public and private, in Jordan, and to adopt their ideas by developing innovative solutions that benefit both citizens and government entities alike, without favoring any specific sector. The goal is to ensure a wide range of applications to develop simple and easy government services.

The fourth edition of the award, in which 352 students from 25 Jordanian universities and colleges (both public and private) participated, relied on five criteria to select the winners: innovation (30% of the evaluation), impact (20%), scalability and sustainability (20%), application functionality (15%), and team collaboration (15%). During this edition, 115 applications were submitted, which underwent several evaluation stages, leading to 20 applications qualifying for the final stage to determine the top ten winners.

The first-place winner of the award was the "Diente" application, developed by students Sohaib Fawaz Khaza'ila, Ahmad Taysir Jaber, Mira Imad Abu Rahma, and Mira Walid Malham from the Hashemite University. The application connects dental students in Jordanian universities with patients who need free dental treatment. It creates a platform where students can benefit from cases for training purposes, while patients receive free treatment.

The second-place winner was the "Dalilak" application, developed by students Lujain Ahmad Jarrar from Balqa Applied University, Rama Hani Abu Asad from the University of Jordan, and students Hala Mohammad Ismail and Alisar Louay Al-Mohaysen from the Middle East University. "Dalilak" is an AI-powered virtual assistant designed to answer citizens' inquiries about daily government services. Through its simple conversational interface, "Dalilak" provides clear and precise guidance on various procedures, from renewing passports to business licensing.

The third-place winner was the "SustainMate" application, developed by students Dima Mohammad Al-Mashaqbeh, Reem Mohammad Aql, Raneem Yasser Al-Batash, and Abdullah Ahmad Al-Khalaf from Zarqa Private University. The application helps engineers and architects choose sustainable building materials using advanced search filters and AI-based environmental impact assessments. It provides a comprehensive database of sustainable materials, allowing users to compare options in terms of cost, performance, and sustainability. It also offers intelligent recommendations for alternative materials based on project criteria and facilitates direct communication with suppliers for details and pricing.

The fourth-place winner was the "Badir" application, developed by students Zakariya Yahya Saada, Abdulrahman Ismail Al-Attar, Mohammad Abdulmajid Shamlaoui from Al-Hussein Technical University, and student Qasem Mahmoud Qadoumi from Al-Hussein Bin Talal University. The application allows citizens to report infrastructure problems in their municipalities using AI to analyze images and filter out inaccurate complaints. It provides the ability to vote on reports to prioritize issues and donate to support solutions, contributing to improving response efficiency, enhancing transparency, and building a more interactive community.

The fifth-place winner was the "MEDSHARE" application, developed by students Nadia Hussein Al-Salem, Danya Hilal Assaf, and Sundus Mohammad Al-Arida from Zarqa Private University. This innovative application allows for the donation of medications, enhancing pharmaceutical security and health sustainability. It includes features such as easy donation, a digital pharmacy, expiration verification, and alerts. It aims to support patients and reduce waste, with future plans for AI integration and mapping.

The remaining five winners will also be integrated into the Innovation and Startup Support Network (INNSAN).

In his speech during the ceremony, Al-Samirat stated, "Announcing the winners today in the fourth edition of the award is an extension of the success of the first, second, and third editions, which saw wide participation from Jordanian university students who were able to present innovative solutions in the field of mobile applications to enhance and simplify government services. He praised the role of the participating teams, the evaluation team, government agencies, and liaison officers in various sectors."

He also emphasized the importance of this award and the need to continue it in implementation of the Royal Vision and the Economic Modernization Vision to benefit from the exceptional talents of university students and Jordanian youth, utilizing them in governmental work fields, and providing a suitable environment for these youth to foster creativity in government administration, involving them in the process of developing and designing government services.

On her part, Manko emphasized the importance of the award and its integral role aligned with the vision of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and his belief in investing in young minds, enabling them to lead the digital transformation. She said: "In light of the establishment of the National Council for Technology of the Future, under the Royal directives and supervised by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, aiming to accelerate progress in Jordan and enhance its global standing, the award reaffirms these efforts alongside many programs at the Crown Prince Foundation to empower youth and develop their digital skills." She highlighted global statistics which emphasize the significant transformations in future work areas, including AI, data analytics, and cybersecurity.

Manko also pointed out that the goals of the award go beyond competitiveness, becoming a real step towards digital transformation at a time when smart applications have become a cornerstone for government services.
