During a meeting with the Tunisian Ambassador to Jordan, Khaled Suhaili, Haj Tawfiq said Jordanian-Tunisian relations have witnessed a "remarkable" development in recent years, which requires working hard to build on these successes.
According to an ACC statement on Saturday, Haj Tawfiq noted recent years have witnessed joint Jordanian-Tunisian interest in strengthening their economic relations by facilitating the flow of goods between the two countries and exploring available trade and investment opportunities.
Meanwhile, ACC board members commended the envoy's efforts to enhance bilateral relations, especially in the economic areas, by intensifying delegations' visits, holding joint events and meetings, and activating agreements signed between the two sides.
For his part, the envoy, who ended his tenure, hailed "distinguished, solid" Jordanian-Tunisian relations, driven by the two countries' strong desire to reach an "effective" partnership in a manner that achieves their common interests, especially in the economic areas.
The diplomat said the embassy was keen to hold meetings periodically with the Jordanian private sector, including ACC, with the aim of activating bilateral cooperation mechanisms and following up on the implementation of recommendations submitted by joint higher committees, adding that the two countries economic relations are "a model to follow suit."
