AMMAN — A report concerning
the duty-free shops sent to the
Amman Stock Exchange and Securities Commission stated: “Please kindly note that the exclusive agreement of the Jordanian
Duty-Free Shops Company has been extended for a period of four months, starting
with December 31, 2021,” according to Al-Mamlaka TV.

The extension will enable the
ministerial committee formed by the Cabinet to complete the work related to
negotiations with the company and prepare the agreement necessary for renewal
for the next 10 years.
The
Duty-Free Shops Company had incurred
losses of approximately JD845,000 at the end of the third quarter of 2021, while
it had made a JD1.2 million profit in the same period of 2020.
The company has 18 locations in the
Kingdom, through which it sells a variety of international brands of goods.
