AMMAN — The prices of oil derivatives in global
markets have risen in the first week of February, according to data released
Monday by the
Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and carried by the
Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The ministry's figures showed that the price of 90-octane
gasoline went up by 8.6 percent, going from $813.7 per ton in January to $883.9
in February, while the price of 95-octane gasoline rose 9.4 percent, from
$834.2 per ton to $912.3 per ton.
Diesel prices also increased by 7.5 percent going from
$737.7 per ton to $792.8, while the prices of kerosene rose by 7.3 percent,
from $776.8 to $833.5 per ton.
The prices of liquefied gas for February picked up by 8.2
percent, going from $717.5 to $776 per ton. Benchmark Brent crude prices also
rose in the first week of the current month, from $86.9 to $94.1 per barrel.
