The memo was signed by ACC Chairman Khalil Haj
Tawfiq and HCCI President Abdo Hamza Idris.
It aims to spur, develop, and facilitate joint
cooperation in the trade, economic, and investment areas between the two
countries. It also seeks to establish “effective” means of contact between
members of both chambers to promote trade exchange and encourage joint
investment projects.
An ACC statement said the memo also allows both
chambers to exchange data and information on investment laws and regulations
and hold talks with business owners to introduce and promote their industries,
partnership, investment, and economic opportunities.
The memo also encourages members of both chambers
and businesspeople to take part in exhibitions held in the two countries.
The two chambers can also exchange expertise and
information on their labor-related procedures by training their workers, and
meeting periodically alternating between the two countries to follow up and
develop programs in this regard.
