AMMAN –
The Netherlands was Jordan’s top European destination for exports in the first
three months of 2022, worth JD12 million, compared to JD9 million in the same
period of 2021, official statistics show, according to the Jordan News Agency,
Petra.

Meanwhile,
Jordanian imports from the Netherlands totaled JD38 million in the
January–April 2022 period, compared to JD37 million in 2021, and the two
countries’ trade balance deficit dropped from JD28 million to JD26 million.
Trade exchange
between the two countries stood at JD50 million, with textile and cotton
garments, chemical products, prepared or preserved canned chickpeas, and dried
dates topping Jordanian exports to this European country.
Jordan imports baby food, chocolate, prepared or preserved potatoes,
butter, cocoa powder, ornamental plants, and electro diagnostic devices for
magnetic resonance imaging.
