AMMAN —
Romania topped the list of European countries importing Jordanian goods in the first
half of 2022, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
According to the
Department of Statistics, Jordan’s exports to Romania during the first half of
2022 amounted to JD26.5 million. The Kingdom’s imports from Romania amounted to
about JD142 million in the period.

The Kingdom’s
balance of trade deficit with Romania fell in the first half of this year,
reaching about JD115.5 million; it stood at JD157.8 million in the same period
last year.
Nitrogen
fertilizer, phosphate, mineral or chemical fertilizers and medicines,
disinfectants, prepared additives for cement and concrete, pipes and hoses, are
among Jordan’s most prominent exports to Romania, according to the department
data.
The Kingdom imports from Romania wheat, cattle and lambs,
timber, smoke pipes, tobacco, as well as tires.
