President of Jordan and Amman chambers of industry
Fathi Jaghbir emphasized the
importance of Slovak exports to the Kingdom, and said that Slovakia could act
as an entry point of Jordanian exports to EU markets, while Jordan could act as
a gateway for Slovak products to the Gulf and Iraq markets, Al-Mamlaka TV
reported on Saturday.

During his meeting with the Slovak Minister of Foreign Affairs
Ivan Korcok, at the headquarters of the Amman Chamber of Industry, Jaghbir said
that the volume of trade between the two countries is average, with Jordan’s
exports to Slovakia last year, mostly pharmaceutical and chemical products, not
exceeding $600,000, and imports from Slovakia, mainly vehicles and heavy
machinery, amounting to about $14 million.
Discussed at the meeting was the possibility of increasing joint
investments. It has been agreed that a Jordanian trade delegation will visit
Slovakia soon.
