There is no guarantee that if Israel stops today its violations of the sanctity of Al-Haram Al-Sharif/Al-Aqsa Mosque, it will not repeat its illegal acts tomorrow.اضافة اعلان

But it is certain that Jordan and its Hashemite leadership will immediately and swiftly step forward every time to defend the Noble Sanctuary, using every means available to challenge the occupation force and its practices in the revered city.

Jordan has been doing that , including for the past weeks, since Tel Aviv, as usual, used excessive force to protect intruders from among Israeli settlers who insist on provoking two billion Muslims through the desecration of Al-Haram l-Sharif, which put brave Palestinian youth in a state of alertness and made them bravely defend the holy site.

The Israeli aggression has shuttered the peace of the holy month of Ramadan.

The level of violence and the deaths among Palestinian youths at the hands of the occupation forces were expected as the fasting month coincides this year with the Jewish Passover.

Israel, a racist state, allowed Jewish people to mark their holy seasons, while Muslim, and Christian Arabs who are celebrating Easter, do not have this privilege.

Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif is exclusively a Muslim worshipping site and non-Muslims should not enter without prior arrangements and permission from the Jordanian Awqaf department who manages the affairs of the holy compound.

Jordan’s efforts included a series of contacts with regional and world leaders, including with the Israeli government, while the Foreign Ministry led pan-Arab action toward ending the spiraling situation; all these endeavors have seen positive results.

As His Majesty King Abdullah received in Amman members of the Arab League’s ministerial committee “tasked with galvanizing international action to counter illegal Israeli measures in Jerusalem” on Thursday, he asked Israel “to respect the historical and legal status quo in Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif, and safeguard the rights of Muslim worshippers”.

His Majesty reaffirmed that Jordan continues all efforts to safeguard Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, under the Hashemite custodianship, and praised the backing of Arab leaders as Amman continues its support of the steadfast Palestinian people.

Israeli media reports reveal that the Israeli government is not happy at all with the Jordanian conduct and support for the Palestinian defenders of Al-Aqsa.

Happy or not, Tel Aviv cannot change the international legitimacy that backs Jordan’s stand and the rights of the people under occupation, and which empowers the Kingdom to work diligently to mobilize international action with a view to stopping Israel’s “provocative unilateral acts” in Jerusalem and the rest of the occupied Palestinian lands.

Israel might be taking advantage of the world’s focus on the Russian-Ukrainian war to impose new facts on the grounds, but it knows very well that Jordan is keeping a watchful eye, as part of its custodianship responsibilities, Arab and Islamic duties and because it is the closest supporter of Palestinians and their cause.
