‘Jupiter’s Legacy’ on Netflixاضافة اعلان

Based on a comic book series by writer Mark Millar and artist Frank Quitely, “Jupiter’s Legacy” has Josh Duhamel and Leslie Bibb playing two aging superheroes, the Utopian and Lady Liberty, who’ve been saving the world alongside their family and friends since the 1930s. The bulk of the series is about the present-day troubles of this celebrity couple and their grown kids, and it peppers fight scenes between conversations about values, as two generations of heroes debate how to use their gifts to make a better world.

‘Panic’ on Amazon Prime

Based on Lauren Oliver’s 2014 novel, the action-suspense series “Panic” is set in a depressed blue-collar town where the graduating high school seniors compete in an unofficial, highly illegal annual competition, completing life-threatening dares for the chance to win enough money to move away. Olivia Welch plays Heather Nill, a smart kid who doesn’t think she needs to play the game but who is ultimately tempted by financial need and a larger-than-usual jackpot. The bigger prize comes with bigger risks, which  feed into secret plans and alliances.

‘The Upshaws’ on Netflix

Comedian Wanda Sykes is both the co-creator and a supporting player on the throwback sitcom “The Upshaws,” which stars Mike Epps as a good-hearted but frequently overwhelmed Indianapolis auto mechanic trying to take care of his kids, his wife and his ex-mistress — all of whom are hard to please. Sykes plays his sister-in-law and business partner. Co-creator Regina Hicks was a writer on the beloved 1990s and 2000s sitcoms “Girlfriends” and “Sister, Sister,” although “The Upshaws” is more reminiscent of 1970s classics like “Sanford and Son” and “Good Times,” which find the humor amid the daily drama in blue-collar family life.
