By changing the design and renewing a third of the parts and components, Nissan has raised the standards of design, comfort and technology, based on Nissan’s 65-year experience in making SUVs.

Improvements to the new Patrol include the front V-motion grille. Every design element that forms the front of the car accentuates the subtle symmetry of the new “face”, while new arrow-shaped LED headlights highlight robust technical design and cutting-edge technology.

The front bumper is also available in two designs, one of which is an aerodynamic bumper for on-road traffic, and the other is a more durable bumper for off-road.

The rear of the new Patrol has also undergone a complete overhaul, with the arrowheads in the large chrome plate seamlessly integrated into the sequential rear side turn indicators that were added for the first time to a Nissan vehicle.

The Platinum Edition includes a new design for the 20-inch wheels.

On the inside, the new central control panel includes two display screens, the first is an 8-inch upper screen, and the second is a 7-inch low touch screen. They feature improved graphics with a 250-percent resolution boost. The infotainment settings switch has been moved directly under the transmission, making it even easier to operate.

The new model also includes upgrades in communications technology; Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have been added to ensure passengers are connected at all times, and enable them to leverage the capabilities of their smartphones. Additionally, an advanced navigation feature, an enhanced off-road display and Wi-Fi connectivity are now available.

The dashboard has been redesigned with a stunning 7-inch digital display that delivers a host of information to the driver, from navigation signals to fuel efficiency.

In terms of power, the 2021 Nissan Patrol includes the most powerful powertrains in its class. The “Patrol” four-wheel-drive model is also provided with the most powerful two engines in this category; the base engine is a 4.0 liter 6-cylinder that generates 275 horsepower and torque at a rate of 394 NM, while the other engine is an 8-cylinder V8 5.6 liters that generates 400hp and a torque of 560Nm.

One new addition to the facelifted Patrol is the introduction of the ECO driving mode, which somewhat improves fuel efficiency.

Both engines are equipped with an advanced seven-speed automatic transmission with adaptive shift control. The 140-liter fuel tank provides a wide driving range.

The 4X4 system includes 4HIGH and 4 LOW modes, under normal driving conditions, the system operates in two-wheel drive mode, but can distribute torque to all four wheels when road conditions require it.

The hydraulic body motion control system fitted to V8 models provides a more comfortable driving experience, thanks to the enhanced suspension and shock-reducing system.

This system gives the Nissan Patrol tremendous levels of grip on rough and sandy terrain, while providing a smooth ride on city streets.

The standard desert and off-road bumper gives customers the ability to drive under the most challenging conditions with an approach angle of 34.4 degrees and a starting angle of 26.3 degrees, while the city-specific bumper adds more elegance to the car’s overall appearance.

The 2020 Nissan Patrol includes a wide range of advanced safety and security systems, which are part of Nissan’s “Intelligent Mobility” platform that aims to provide a safer, more connected and comfortable transportation experience.

Safety systems includes a four-wheel brake system that includes ABS, electronic brake-force distribution, and brake assist.  Standard equipment also includes ABLS and VDC systems

The intelligent emergency braking system with the newly added pedestrian sensing feature will allow the Nissan Patrol to stop completely if an impending collision is detected. This system can also sense if a collision is caused by another vehicle or a pedestrian, and also includes the intelligent cruise control system.

The revamped 2021 Nissan Patrol, has been enhanced to keep it in the competition for the summit of the SUV class.
