going fierce with its new models in all luxury car categories, and with the 8

the market a design that can only come out of its distinguished engineers.

If you
are looking for a luxury convertible with high-style BMW elegance and a sporty
touch, then the 8 Series Convertible is your pick.
It is a fully open and outdoor driving
experience. Smooth dynamic stretch lines and a classic soft top define the open-top
four-seat model — a worthy member of the luxury class. The performance technology and chassis of the
BMW 8 Series has been developed with an exceptional body that gives optimum
rigidity and agility to the new BMW 8 Series Convertible.
The
luxury experience is further advanced through autonomous driving and driver
assistance systems, the latest generation of display and control system, and
the latest communication technologies, including BMW's intelligent voice
assistant.
The new
BMW 8 Series Convertible allows for comfortable journeys on city streets as
well as on winding country roads or racing tracks.
From a
design point of view, the new BMW design language utilizes defined lines and
accents that surface to give the new BMW 8 Series Convertible an edge. In terms
of dimensions, the outer length is 4843 millimeters, the width is 1902 millimeters,
and the height is 1339 millimeters.
The wheelbase has a diameter of 2822
millimeters, and an axle width of 1619 millimeters (front) and 1662 millimeters
(rear). Its dimensions are reported to be almost identical to those of the BMW
8 Series Coupe.
A
prominent design element is the side silhouette or the cross-body design line
that cuts the body and extends from the side. The BMW signature, the kidneys grill,
and the blue and white logo give the sports car’s front an unmissable look.
Complementing
the sporty front, the lights make the car appear more dominant. The adaptive
LED headlights and BMW Laserlight system generate a high beam range of about
600 meters.
The strength
continues as the flowing line contours the rear. The lighting units extend into
the wings and the third brake light is integrated into the hood.

The new
convertible roof of the BMW 8 Series Convertible is distinguishable by its
ergonomic design and excellent sound insulation. When closed, it gives the car
a surprising and playful silhouette.
The
soft-top comes in black as a standard but is also available in “anthracite
silver.” One of its most important advantages is that it opens and closes automatically
via a touch button in just 15 seconds. The roof control can be easily navigated
when traveling up to 50 km/h. Opening, the roof folds neatly into place within
the trunk.
The new
BMW 8 Series Convertible is fitted with a full-leather combination of the
dashboard and door shoulders, as well as electrically adjustable sports seats draped
in fine Vernasca leather.
Multifunction
seats are fitted as standard. The BMW M850i xDrive Convertible leather
steering wheel is an M design with multifunction buttons and gearshift paddles.
Standard
equipment for the BMW 8 Series Convertible includes an air damper between the
seats that can be adjusted in the rear seat area to prevent unwanted draft when
driving with the roof folded. The new 8 Series Convertible has optional neck
heaters that integrate air intake into its front seat headrests.
Other
optional features include heated and cooled seats, the Heat Comfort package
with a heated steering wheel, and the BMW Head-Up Display. An advanced Harman Kardon surround sound
system with hi-fi sound quality is standard, and for a more high-quality sound
experience, the Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system is available.
The rear
seat bench of the BMW 8 Series Convertible can be folded in a 50:50 ratio, with
both components folded separately to provide load-through capability. With the roof closed, the loading capacity is
350 liters.

The
convertible’s harshest test is the rigidity and torsion of the body and
chassis. In the 8 Series Convertible, dynamic interior elements improve the
dynamic exterior characteristics of the all-new BMW 8 Series, effectively
controlling the air flap, air curtains, and ultra-thin exterior mirror
arms.
A clever blend of materials helps
reconcile strict and conflicting demands when it comes to combining body
rigidity with reduced weight. This means that there is only a small number of
transferable measures.
In fact, these are limited to additional cross struts
and a cutting board designed specifically for the lower fabric.
Another special feature of the BMW 8 Series
Convertible is the Rollover Protection System, which consists of aluminum
protective bars installed out of view behind the rear seat headrests. If the car is likely to flip, the rails are
stretched by an electric charge in a fraction of a second.
The beating heart of the 8-Series is a new
4.4-liter V8 from the Bavarian company's latest generation of engines, which
gives it an acoustic edge thanks to the effect of the controllable M sports
exhaust system.
M
Performance TwinPower Turbo technology from the engine includes twin-scroll
turbochargers with intercooler V-charged air between the cylinder banks, High
Precision Injection, VALVETRONIC for full valve control, and Double-VANOS
variable camshaft timing.
Developing 530 hp and a maximum torque of 750
Nm, the V8 accelerates the BMW M850i xDrive Convertible from 0 to 100 km/h in
3.9 seconds.
The transmission is via an eight-speed
Steptronic Sport transmission, BMW xDrive, and M Sport.
The engine complies with the Euro 6d-TEMP
standard. It channels its power to the
road via the eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission and the intelligent BMW
xDrive permanent all-wheel drive system.
The intelligent permanent all-wheel drive system has been tuned to have
a noticeable rear-wheel bias in the new BMW 8 Series Convertible. Dynamic
performance is further enhanced by the M Sport differential also fitted as
standard on the BMW M850i xDrive Coupe.
In addition to improving traction and traction, the locking effect
generated by an electric motor in the rear differential improves vehicle speed
and enhances dynamic acceleration into cornering.
The
stability control system, which is available on the new BMW M850i xDrive
Convertible as part of the optional Adaptive M suspension Professional, ensures
fast and precise compensation of lateral forces during dynamic driving
maneuvers, enhancing agility and stability in both directions.
Electric rotors also increase straight-line
driving comfort by responding to destructive forces created by road surface
imperfections on one side of the vehicle.
No
Bavarian flavor is complete without the M Sport Package, which as standard for
the BMW M850i xDrive Convertible also includes a powerful M Sport brake
system, M light-alloy wheels with performance tires, exclusive exterior
features in Cerium Gray, and illuminated sill strips with badges.

Modern
driver assistance systems enhance comfort and safety. The comfort and safety of
the new BMW 8 Series Convertible has been enhanced by state-of-the-art driver
assistance systems.
Standard equipment
includes a head-up display. Available as
an optional device is the Driving Assistant System, which includes collision warning
and pedestrian warning with auto brake function, lane departure warning and lane
change warning capable of automatic intervention, legal speed limit information
capable of reading signage, cross traffic alert, and rear collision warning.
Among
the items on the list of options are active cruise control with a Stop & Go
function, a Driving Assistant Professional, and BMW night vision. Also typical is the parking assistant, which
includes a rear-view camera.
The new
BMW 8 Series Convertible comes as standard on the BMW Live Cockpit
Professional. This includes a navigation
and multimedia system, a full HD digital instrument cluster behind the steering
wheel with a 12.3-inch diagonal screen, and a 10.25-inch control screen.
The
new BMW Operating System 7.0 features advanced digital functions tailored to
the driver's requirements. When it comes to intuitive operation options,
drivers can choose from touchscreen functions via the control display, the
iDrive controller, buttons on the steering wheel, and voice control.
The 8
series Convertible is an open-air combination of luxury and high performance.
