The 2021 Nissan Kicks has been upgraded to provide more of the features, technology, innovation, and value that customers are looking for in a compact crossover. The exterior body features a styling update with a dual V-motion grille, new front and rear bumpers, and a host of bold colors including new two-tone combinations. The updated interior features a center console, a new seating design, and other signature touches, as well as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bose speakers in the headrest.
The 2021 Nissan Kicks also include a number of Nissan Intelligent Mobility features, such as the Intelligent Around View System, forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning, and rear cross-traffic sensors. Improved body control for more driving comfort and stability complements these class-leading features.
The new model maintains its compact crossover proportions with its spacious interior and slim, city-friendly exterior design for easy handling, but the overall exterior changes immediately distinguish the Kicks from the crowd. The redesigned 2021 Nissan Kicks is available in three impressively equipped models: Kicks S, Kicks SV, and Kicks SL.

The Kicks’ prominent front end and sharper bumper give it the look of an SUV, while its new LED headlights provide a modern and distinct touch that is even more pronounced in the design of the SL-Class’s multi-slim LED reflectors. The SL model also includes LED fog lamps as standard.
The vehicle’s rear end features a new bumper, premium trim on the tailgate, and an array of LED lights that extend from side to side, creating a striking horizontal line that accentuates the Kicks’ wide rear body. Similar to the front end, the redesigned rear bumper creates the impression that the compact crossover is larger and more luxurious than it actually is.
The 2021 Kicks also features a soft-top roof. The vehicle’s wide C-pillar is concealed with black accents that blend into the tailgate glass and give occupants a higher level of visibility.
Standard exterior features include intelligent automatic headlights with adjustable sensitivity and timing as well as rear windshield wipers, roof rails, integrated turn indicators, and a roof spoiler.
Colors are a distinctive feature of the Nissan Kicks, which is available in a diverse and vibrant color palette and includes three new colors for 2021: electric blue metallic, crimson amber (a premium color), and jet pearl grey. This is in addition to dark metallic silver, super black, matte white (premium), pearl white, and shiny silver.
The Kicks is also available in five two-tone paint packages, including three new options: crimson red with an ultra-black top, electric blue metallic with an ultra-black top, and jet grey pearl with an ultra-black top. The interior of the 2021 Nissan Kicks sets itself apart with its elegant and luxurious character, highlighted by a new seat color, door accent design, and center console with armrest on SL models.

The flexible interior also reflects sportiness with a D-shaped steering wheel, comfortable six-way adjustable driver’s seat, four-way-adjustable front passenger seat, and the 60/40-partially tilt-down rear seat.
Similar to previous years, the 2021 model offers plenty of room for passengers throughout the cabin, including best-in-class legroom in the front.
For peace of mind, the standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 is available on all Kicks, which includes Automated Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Radar-Based Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Sensing. The Intelligent Around View System also provides a 360-degree view of the vehicle’s surroundings.
The Kicks SL premium package includes eight Bose speakers that use Bose signal processing to deliver what’s called an “all-encompassing audio experience” thanks to a pair of 6.3cm Bose UltraNearfield speakers built into the Kicks’ driver-side headrest.
The Bose PersonalSpace Control feature is integrated into the infotainment system’s audio settings, providing adjustable listening options. The system also includes a six-channel digital amplifier that enables custom equalization and digital system processing.
To keep the driver connected, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on the 2021 Nissan Kicks’ SV and SL models.
Every 2021 Kicks is equipped with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with DOHC, dual overhead camshafts and Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control. The engine produces 118hp and 155Nm of torque, with a smooth Xtronic transmission that powers the two front wheels.
