AMMAN — The first national football team,
Al-Nashama, defeated
their Indian counterpart 2–0 in a friendly match on Saturday at the Qatar Club
Stadium, as part of a training camp preparing for the Asian qualifiers held in
Doha.

Al-Nashama will also
meet
Australia on Wednesday, also as part of the training camp.
During the match with India, the national team achieved
victory after Munther Abu Omara scored a goal on minute 75 and Muhammad Abu
Zureik on minute 90+3.
The national team will resume their training in Qatar until
June 4, after which they will head to
Kuwait to participate in the Asian
qualifiers.
Jordan, Kuwait, Indonesia, and Nepal are all part of Group A
for the qualifiers.
Al-Nashama will begin their campaign in Group A with a match
against Nepal on June 8, then Indonesia June 11, finally Kuwait on June 14.
