AMMAN — As the
national football team,
Al-Nashama, continues their preparations for the
International Quartet Championship, head coach Adnan Hamad emphasized that
their goal is to “cement their place amongst Asia football giants,” he told the
Jordan Football Association.

Al-Nashama will
begin their campaign in the championship on Friday, where they are set to play
against Syria.
Hamad emphasized
that the championship is important to assess the teams readiness for upcoming
competitions including the Asia Cup and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Regarding
Al-Nashama’s upcoming friendly match against Spain on November 17, Hamad said:
“There is no doubt that it’s an important meeting that awaits the team. We look
forward to reflecting a good image of Jordanian football.”
“The national
team’s recent results, especially our win over Kosovo and New Zealand, and our
good performance in several friendly and official matches are important factors
to holding the match.”
International Quartet Championship is hosted by the Jordanian Football Association and will take
place September 23–27 at the King Abdullah II Stadium.
