AMMAN — The board of directors
of Al-Faisaly club on Sunday agreed to accept the resignation of the Syrian
coach Hussam Al-Sayed after the unexpected loss to Sahab in the 12th round of
the Jordanian Pro League.
Faisaly’s management has
decided to hire Iraqi head coach Hakeem Shaker, who will arrive in Amman on Tuesday
to take over the team. There are hopes that Faisaly will announce Shaker’s
assistant coaching staff in the next few
days.
After the loss against Sahab, Faisaly fell to fourth place with 23
points, six points behind the leaders Al-Wehdat.
