AMMAN — With His Majesty King Abdullah and Palestinian President Mahmoud
Abbas in attendance, the first edition of Al-Quds and Al-Karama Championship concluded at
Faisal Al-Husseini Stadium in Ramallah on Tuesday with Al-Wehdat winning the
title.

The final match
was attended by Jordanian Ambassador to Palestine Muhammad Abu Wendy, a
representative for President Abbas, President of the Palestinian Federation
Jibril Rajoub, Deputy Secretary-General of the Jordan Football Association
Falih Al-Daajah, alongside a number of official and sports figures.
Al-Wehdat won the
championship title by defeating Jabal Al-Mukaber 4–2, while Shabab Rafah came
third at the expense of Al-Faisaly after winning by a penalty shootout 3–1.
The tournament
witnessed the participation of three Jordanian clubs: Al-Ramtha, Al-Wehdat and
Al-Faisaly. The clubs from Palestine were: Shabab Al-Khalil, Shabab Rafah and
Jabal Al-Mukabber.
The championship
was organized by the Jordanian and Palestinian Football Associations.
The three Jordanian clubs
received $20,000 each from the organizing committee in for participating in
the tournament.
