AMMAN — The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has selected eight international referees from Jordan to preside over matches in AFC Champions League’s group stage, which is scheduled between April 15 and April 30.

According to the Jordan Football Federation’s official website, the eight referees who have been selected are Adham Makhadmeh, Ahmad Munis, Mohammad Al-Bakkar, Ahmad Feisal, Mahmoud Thaher, international, and AFC referee assessor, Ismael Al-Hafi, along with AFC assessors, Naser Darwish and Awni Hassouneh.
A number of 40 clubs are set to take part in the group stage for the first time.
These teams have been divided into 10 groups of four clubs; for a total of five groups form the East region and five groups from the West Region.
The winner in each group and the top six teams that take second place, will qualify to the round of 16 playoffs.
