Wehdat is now in third place (13pts.), awaiting two
postponed matches, against Ramtha and Faisaly.
With the start of the league’s eighth round on Friday,
Jordanian football fans will be able to fill the stands to a 30-percent
capacity, with all tickets being purchased online through the Jordan Football
Association’s website.
“The teams involved have made some bold victories,
expressing their desire to compete for the title, and although Al-Salt and
Al-Hussein stumbled with a draw, while Shabab Al-Ordon lost, those teams still
have a lot of potential, especially since the point-difference between the
leading and seventh teams is only 4pts.,” coach and analyst Othman Al-Hasanat
told Jordan News.
The seventh round saw players score a total of 16 goals at a
rate of 2.66 goals per match, raising the league total to 94 goals scored over
40 matches at a rate of 2.35 goals per match. Al-Jazeera’s Ali Olwan has scored the most goals so far (5).
