AMMAN — The transfer of Lionel Messi from Paris Saint-Germain FC to
Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal FC is a "done deal," Agence France-Presse
(AFP) reported on Tuesday.

A Saudi source close to the negotiations has confirmed on
Tuesday morning that Messi will be playing in Saudi next season, labelling the
transfer 'huge', according to AFP
Earlier, it was reported that Messi will leave PSG after his
contract expires this summer.
Meanwhile, the allegations came about he is joining Saudi
Arabia's Al-Hilal for $386.5 million per season. If the deal is materialized,
the Saudi Pro League will see a renewed rivalry between Messi and Cristiano
Ronaldo, who currently plays for Al-Nassr FC.
The report came the day after Messi received the Laureus
World Sports Award for Sportsman of the Year for the year 2022.
He also collected the Team of the Year gong as part of
Argentina's national team that won the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
