AMMAN —
The national U20 football team announced the roster for the upcoming AFC Asia Cup
qualifiers, which will be held September 10–18 at the Petra Stadium in
Al-Hussein Youth City.

The roster included 23
players including: Murad Al-Faluji, Seif Al-Din Nuseirat, Abdul Rahman
Muhammad, Zaid Al-Asfar, Hashem Al-Mubaidin, Bakr Kalbouneh, Assem Abu Al-Teen,
Seif Al-Din Darwish, Youssef Hassan, Sultan Al-Shayab, Ali Al-Azaizah, Qusay
Al-Mansoori, Zakaria Amr, Amin Al-Shanaina, Ibrahim Nofal, Suhaib Al-Qadi, Alaa
Dayyah, Muhannad Abu Taha, Muhammad Raed, Omar Al-Asad, Muhammad Abu Hazeem,
Ahmed Ayman, and Moaz Al-Olaymat.
The national team
coach, Islam Thiabat, reiterated the importance of hosting the qualifiers in
Jordan, which enhances the chances of qualifying for the continental finals.
“The support of the fans is a key factor to achieve our aspirations,” he said
in a press statement.
The team is
participating in the Asian qualifiers for Group D, along with Chinese Taipei,
Syria, Turkmenistan, and the Northern Mariana Islands,
The national team is
set to play the first match against Turkmenistan at 9pm on September 12.
