AMMAN — The national U23 football team defeated the Kuwaiti team, 1–0 after Mohammed Abu Rezeq scored in the 68th minute during the match on late Saturday at the Karshi Central Stadium. The match was a part of the Group B matches for the Asian Championship. Australia currently leads the Group B scoreboard with four points, Jordan came in second with the same point balance, followed by Iraq third with two points, and Kuwait last with no points. The Jordan U23 team will conclude its first-round match participation against Australia at 4pm on Tuesday at the Lokomotiv stadium in Tashkent.
