AMMAN — the West Asian Football Federation is in the process
of finalizing several administrative and logistical arrangements for the
upcoming youth championship.
The West Asian Football Federation held a coordination
meeting with the Iraqi federation to review the details of the second U18 Youth
Championship, which will be hosted by the Iraqi federation in Erbil province
from November 20 to 30.
The tournament is expected to include eight teams: Iraq,
Kuwait, Yemen, Bahrain, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and the UAE, and is scheduled for
an October 28 draw at the West Asian Football Federation headquarters in Amman.
The Iraqi team was crowned winners of the first West Asian
Federation Youth Championship that was held in Palestine, while the UAE finished
second in the tournament.
