The Orthodox hold 15 championship wins under their belt, followed by Al-Jazeera and Al-Riyadi clubs with 3 titles each, while Al-Mokawloon and Al-Fuheis won the championship title once each.
Jordan Basketball Federation board member and chair of the women's committee, Dina Halaseh, assured that the women's league will be strong this year, pointing out that the tournament is a good opportunity to prepare for the women’s national basketball team in upcoming championships.
“The presence of foreign professionals will raise the level of the Jordanian league. The league was short and we wanted it to be held longer, but we agreed with all the participating clubs to hold it during this period, especially since the Al-Fuheis and Orthodox clubs are competing in the Arab Clubs Championship,” Halaseh told
Jordan News.
"There will be a strong presence of junior players in the league, which is a good opportunity for them to get experience, especially as the most important entitlement ahead of us is the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, which will be held next November. We will be participating for the first time after a long absence of almost 20 years."
