AMMAN — Al-Jalil has officially relegated to the
the First Division Clubs League after losing to Kufryopa Club 87-96 (first half
29-39), in a match on Tuesday at Prince Hamzah Hall, within the conclusion of
the ninth round of the second leg of the
CFI Basketball Premier League.

The American
James Carrington emerged from
Kufryopa’s side, achieving a double-double by
scoring 25 points with 15 rebounds and passes, five steals, and four block
shots. Ibrahim Hamati also emerged with a double-double after scoring 30 points
with nine rebounds, 11 passes, and three steals.
From Jalil’s side Khaldoun Jbara was the best player
from, scoring 34 points with six rebounds, three assists and two steals.
The
Orthodox club currently leads the scoreboard
with 17 points, followed by Al-Ahli second with 16 points, then
Al-Wehdat third
with 13 points — with a match postponed against Al-Jalil with no rescheduled
date — while Kufryopa comes fourth with 12 points, followed by Jubiha fifth
with 11 points, and Al-Jalil sixth with eight points.
